Hello to everyone here at DeviantArt!

I've tripped onto this site from time to time, and never stopped to create a profile...until now

Hey Doug,

I love your work, it inspires me to keep drawing.
My work isn't as detailed as yours but I hope to get there someday. You and Mark Schultz are my heroes.

Anyway, a few editors have been interested in my stuff but so far nothing has turned out from it.
Do you have any advice for someone who just can't seem to get his foot in the door to this crazy business? Its been 2 years since I graduated from College and I'm getting worried.

Hello Francosj12

First, let me say that I think you have a lot of talent, if you are 13, keep it up, keep drawing no matter what.

My materials for EPIII are bristol board, I used the DarkHorse stock, so I'm not sure what weight it was, but it was very similar to what I use now and the is Strathmore bristol plate finish. I use a clutch pencil with 2mm leads ranging from 4h,2h,h,hb,2b,4b,6b and that is it, hope this helps.

I love your work so much! Your art not only made me stop by a comic stand but go on to purchase and follow the entire Dark times comic series. I never do that. Ever. I'm eternally grateful for the inspiration you've been to me. I look at your work and I push myself to do better. I'm looking forward to see what your going do with Dass Jennir! I love the new hair style you gave him. Keep up the amazing work! thank you for showing me the world of Star Wars Comics!
